The A-Sphere is an internet tool that enables humanity to become conscious of itself as a whole. By using a geo-spatial format, people can visualize the collective impact of individual actions. The A-Sphere encourages cooperative action across borders of all kinds—social divides, religious differences, nation-state boundaries to name a few.
We are at a critical moment in human history in which the future of the planet depends on human beings now acknowledging the fundamental unity of existence. Such a presumption is marked by an increase in cooperation, tolerance, goodwill, trust, and mutual respect. In the area of public affairs, this requires putting the totality of humankind ahead of any limited self or collective interest. Indeed, we can see that there are a number of critical issues, such as global warming, the worldwide economic crisis, poverty, the increasing extinction of species, and so on, that can only be resolved by considering the whole first. Social action groups are welcome to use the A-Sphere if they meet certain criteria. For more information please see the Contact Us tab.
The name A-Sphere is taken from the essay “Anthroposphere (The Natural Zone of Necessary Human Responsibility)” in Not-Two Is Peace by the World-Friend Adi Da.
The A-Sphere is maintained through donations and grants. |
